abstract

multi-drug therapy in high blood pressure is appreciated to achieve a normalblood pressure.a simple spectrophotometric method based on principal component analysis has been proposed for simultaneous determination of amlodipine (amd) and metoprolol(met) in pharmacutical preparations. calibration matrix contains 3.402 µgml -1 to 170.130 µgml -1 and from 13.060 µgml -1 to 65.3 µgml -1 amlodipine and metoprolol, respectively. the proposedmethod was validated by using a set of synthetic sample mixtures and subsequently applied to simultaneousdetermination of amlodipine (amd) and metoprololin different pharmaceutical preparations.

Simultaneous Determination of Sulfamethoxazole and Phthalazine by HPLC and Multivariate Calibration Methods

Two multivariate calibration methods are compared for the simultaneous chromatographic determination and separation of Sulfamethoxazole (SMX) and Phthalazine (PHZ) by High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Multivariate calibration techniques such as Classical Least Squares (CLS) and Inverse Least Squares (ILS) were introduced into HPLC to determine the quantification by using UV d...

Simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of ampicillin and penicillin in human plasma using multivariate calibration

An analytical methodology based on spectrophotometric and partial least squares (PLS) algorithm for thesimultaneous determination of ampicillin and penicillin in human plasma was developed and validated. Themultivariate model was developed as a binary calibration model and it was built and validated with anindependent set of synthesis and real samples in presence of matrix. It is shown how a de...

Simultaneous Determination of Dofetilide and Amlodipine in Plasma by HPLC

Dofetilide is a Class III antiarrhythmic drug useful in the management of atrial fibrillation but also known to prolong the QT interval on the ECG and to induce malignant ventricular tachyarrhythmias such as torsades de pointes (TDP). Drugs with calcium channel-blocking properties contribute to decrease the incidence of TDP. Amlodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel antagonist. Considerin...
